December Delights

With only a few days remaining before the Christmas celebrations begin in earnest we had out final sortie of 2018 to conduct, flying father Christmas into Naomi House and Jacks Place one of our charities. This is almost certainly one of the most rewarding events in our calendar and this time the privilege of flying the big man fell to the dynamic duo.

The weather was grim, but an appreciative Father Christmas entertained the even more appreciative children with gifts of laughter and smiles, a humbling video of his experiences can be viewed on their Facebook Page.

We have started making early enquiries with event organisers for the 2019 calendar and a new one that may develop will be the National Armed Forces Day which next year will be held relatively local to us in Salisbury in June.

Back in June we were honoured to fly Ian Kerr Bonner, an ex member of the Glider Pilot Regiment from Pembrokeshire to Kent to his friend Des Page's funeral, a story that captured the interest of veterans from across the country. It is with some sadness that we must report that Ian also died earlier this month at the age of 95, may they both Rest in Peace.

We'd like to thank you all for your support throughout 2018 and would like to wish you all and your families a very Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.

See you in 2019!
